How To Design Your Bed Like a Pro:
One of my favorite things about our BedVoyage line of Luxury Bamboo Bedding products and colors is that they are made to mix and match, so you can design your bed like a pro! This allows you to be creative, choose the products and colors you love and then put a fabulous look together. You can achieve any look you want, from layered and plush, to simple and neat. We’ve purposely created our colors to work very well together. And you can add a couple of our bamboo decorative throw pillows to pull the look together. Its easy to get stuck in a rut when decorating and just pick monochromatic pieces, or duplicate what others have done simply because its easy. But it gets really fun when you start playing with colors and realize that there are no set rules!
So just choose your favorite colors, or totally contrasting colors, or ones that are not generally paired together and have fun! Designing your bed look can be super fun, and give you great comfort and joy for years.
Guest Bedrooms Can Be Fabulous Too:
Its great fun to create a cozy or glamorous bedroom, and when you lead your overnight guests to their room, they’ll be super impressed with your design sense! What I like to do is use create layers. This way it looks cozy and inviting, like a hotel bed that you just can’t wait to climb into. I start with a BedVoyage Bamboo Sheet Set, then put a Coverlet over that. Then I fold a BedVoyage Duvet Cover into thirds and place it at the foot of the bed. Then drape a throw blanket of your choice over the duvet, cascading off one corner. For the pillow effect; place the bamboo Euros against the headboard, put the ‘sleeping’ pillows in front of that, then a set of quilted Standard Shams. A Bamboo Decorative Pillow placed in front of all of the pillows creates a nice touch. You’ve then created a deep pillowed-bed, which looks incredibly elegant and super cozy.
Which Colors can you Mix and Match?
Our Champagne and Ivory colors look elegant and natural together. The Sky Coverlet with White Bed Sheets are fabulous together, and very crisp!
