BedVoyage started in 2008 with a simple belief: most people are settling for sheets that are just fine, and they shouldn’t have to. We set out to make bedding that actually works better, starting with bamboo.
Bamboo linens do something cotton never quite figured out. It lets heat escape instead of trapping it. It pulls moisture away so you don’t wake up sticky. It glides over skin instead of tugging at it. The result is sleep that feels calmer, cleaner, and more comfortable, night after night.

The story behind the name
BedVoyage is a play on Bon Voyage because this brand started with travel.
“I’m Sharon Stuart, the founder of BedVoyage. The idea came to me one morning while driving across the bridge over Lake Washington. I’d stayed in too many hotels with rough, questionable sheets and thought: why can’t you bring your own?”
That idea became BedVoyage, a travel sheet set designed for people who wanted something cleaner, softer, and more reliable on the road.
Finding the right fabric mattered. I wanted something naturally clean, gentle on skin, and comfortable in any climate. That search led me to viscose bamboo, and everything clicked. It was breathable, cooling, and noticeably softer than cotton.
What started as a travel product quickly grew into something bigger. People didn’t just want bamboo sheets for trips, they wanted them at home. We expanded into everyday bedding and spent years educating customers, including a decade in Costco stores, on why bamboo bedding works better.
Today, BedVoyage makes bamboo sheets, pillowcases, towels, robes, duvet covers, coverlets, and more; we’ve come full circle with a bamboo sleeping bag liner for travel.
