Melange Bamboo Fabric: A Blend of Comfort and Durability

Melange Bamboo is an innovative blend of 50% bamboo and 50% long-staple cotton yarns, offering the best of both worlds. By intertwining bamboo threads with cotton and weaving them into fabric, we create linens with a unique textured appearance. Unlike traditional coloring methods, our waterless technique is 100% bleach-safe, allowing you to maintain the vibrant colors even if you prefer bleaching your linens. Additionally, it is BPO/Retinol safe, ensuring that lotions won't stain your sheets.

Perfect for colder seasons, Melange Bamboo provides a cozy experience similar to jersey knit, retaining warmth due to the cotton blend. While slightly crisper than 100% bamboo, it offers exceptional comfort and durability, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a blend of softness and resilience. If you value both the familiarity of cotton and the benefits of bamboo, our Melange Bamboo collection is the perfect balance of comfort, practicality, and style.

Blend of Luxury : Melange combines 50% bamboo and 50% long-staple cotton yarns, offering the benefits of bamboo while retaining the familiar qualities of cotton.

Unique Texture : Bamboo threads are twisted around cotton threads and woven to create a textured appearance, adding a distinctive touch to the linens.

Bleach-Safe : Utilizes a waterless coloring method that is 100% bleach-safe, allowing for easy maintenance and vibrant colors, even with bleaching.

Safe for Skincare Products : BPO/Retinal safe feature ensures that lotions and skincare products won't stain the sheets or pillowcases, offering worry-free usability.

Warmth in Winter : Ideal for colder seasons, Melange provides warmth akin to jersey knit due to the cotton blend, making it a perfect choice for winter bedding.

Cozy and Comfortable : Melange bedding offers a cozy and comfortable experience, making it a preferred option for those seeking comfort and warmth.

Casual Elegance : While slightly crisper than 100% bamboo, Melange maintains a casual elegance, making it a stylish and practical choice for various preferences and styles.

Not as Cooling : Melange is not as cooling as 100% bamboo, making it a better choice for individuals who prefer a warmer and cozier sleeping experience.

OUR BAMBOO TIGHT TWILL WEAVE = Highest quality, Most Durable Weave

*Both BedVoyage collections: 100% Luxury Bamboo and melange Bamboo/Cotton blend use our very tight twill weave.

Our choice of the tight twill weave isn't just a preference; it's a testament to our commitment to offering you the utmost in quality and comfort. Imagine a fabric with a softness that feels like a dream yet possesses a durability that rivals your favorite pair of jeans. That's precisely what our tight twill weave achieves. How? Let's dive into the details.

Identifiable by its elegant diagonal rib pattern across the fabric's surface, the tight twill weave is the hallmark of lasting quality. Unlike ordinary weaves, such as sateen, our twill weave involves intricately passing the weft thread over and under multiple warp threads. This meticulous technique results in a fabric that's not only incredibly soft but also remarkably resistant to pilling. The secret lies in the multiple threads interwoven, ensuring your sheets remain smooth and luxurious, wash after wash.

Sturdier Fabric : Twill weave sheets are exceptionally robust, ensuring longevity and durability.

Better Drape : The tight twill weave results in a superior drape, enhancing the overall aesthetic of the fabric.

Improved Wrinkle Resistance : Twill weave sheets are less prone to wrinkling, maintaining a smooth appearance even after use.

Increased Pliability : The twill weave creates a more pliable material, offering a luxurious feel and comfortable sleep experience.

Reduced Pilling : Twill weave sheets are less likely to pill, ensuring a smooth and flawless surface for years.

Sateen Comparison : Sateen, made with a 3-yarns-over and 1-yarn-under pattern, provides a smooth fabric but is less durable than twill weave.

Testimonials : Numerous satisfied customers have reported using our sheets for 10+ years, attesting to their exceptional longevity and quality.

OUR THREAD COUNT

At BedVoyage, we prioritize quality and comfort. Our choice of a 300 thread count for both our 100% Bamboo luxury line and our 50% bamboo/50% cotton blend sets us apart. Unlike many competitors who opt for lower thread counts and blend with micro-fibers, our tight twill weaves prevent pilling, ensuring our customers receive long-lasting, smooth sheets.

Some competitors opt for a higher thread count when you see fabric descriptions boasting 800 or 1000 thread count, it means the number of threads woven per square inch. While higher counts sound impressive, they often result in sheets that are unbreathable. We've deliberately chosen 300 thread count as it strikes the perfect balance between silky-softness and breathability. Bamboo sheets, known for their high absorbency, wick moisture away from your skin faster than most other fabrics, providing you with the ultimate sleeping experience. With BedVoyage, you're investing in luxurious, breathable, and absorbent bedding that guarantees a restful night's sleep.

A little history :

Before the 1990s, people didn't pay much attention to thread count in bedding. Thread count refers to how many threads are woven into one square inch, including both vertical (warp) and horizontal (weft) threads. Manufacturers today often try to boast high thread counts to stand out. However, it's challenging to weave more than 400 threads per square inch, so some creative counting occurs.

Some brands claim high thread counts like 800 by using thinner yarns twisted together, which doesn't necessarily mean better quality or softer feel. BedVoyage uses 300 thread count for all our bedding, which is considered very high in bamboo fabrics. We believe 300tc strikes the perfect balance between softness and breathability. Higher thread counts, achieved by doubling or tripling threads, create a tight weave that doesn't breathe well, making sleepers hotter and less comfortable.

BEWARE OF WRINKLE-RESISTANT or FORMALDEHYDE SHEETS

Important Notice: Beware of "Wrinkle-Resistant" Claims!

Ever wondered how some linens claim to be "wrinkle-resistant"? The truth might alarm you. Often, these linens are coated with toxic formaldehyde, a stiffening agent. At BedVoyage, we prioritize your health and well-being. That's why we refuse to compromise our eco-friendly fabrics with harmful chemicals. We don't want to sleep on toxins, and we certainly don't want you to. Unlike others, we don't market our linens as wrinkle-resistant. Yes, you might find soft wrinkles where your head and body lay, but after each wash, our linens come out smooth and beautiful again, naturally. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities.
