100% Bamboo Fabric: Cooler, smoother, and easier on your skin

Our 100% Bamboo fabric is designed for people who sleep warm, wake up uncomfortable, or want sheets that feel better the moment they get into bed.

Bamboo fibers allow heat to escape instead of trapping it, helping regulate temperature throughout the night. The fabric absorbs moisture efficiently, keeping you drier and more comfortable.

The naturally smooth fiber surface reduces friction on skin and hair, also resists odor buildup, helping sheets stay fresher between washes.

Why customers choose 100% Bamboo

  • Cooler sleep temperature
  • Smooth, fluid feel against skin
  • Excellent moisture control
  • Gentle on sensitive skin
  • Stays fresher longer
  • Ideal for hot sleepers

Bamboo Cotton Blend: Balanced comfort with added durability

Our Bamboo Cotton fabric blends 50% viscose from bamboo with 50% long-staple cotton to create sheets that balance softness with structure.

By combining these fibers, the fabric maintains breathability while adding durability and shape. It feels soft and comfortable, with a slightly more substantial feel than 100% bamboo.

This fabric is a good option for people who want the benefits of bamboo, but prefer a more familiar feel or a sheet that retains a bit more warmth.

Why customers choose bamboo cotton

  • Balanced temperature comfort
  • Soft with slightly more structure
  • Highly durable for long-term use
  • Breathable and comfortable
  • Skincare friendly and bleach-safe
  • Ideal for year-round use

Why Our Twill Weave Matters = Stronger structure without sacrificing softness

Our sheets use a tight twill weave, recognizable by its subtle diagonal pattern.

Unlike sateen weaves that prioritize surface shine, twill distributes stress across multiple threads. That structure helps the fabric hold up better over time.

The result is sheets that drape naturally, resist pilling, and maintain their integrity wash after wash.

Many customers tell us they’ve used their BedVoyage sheets for 10+ years. Our twill weave is a big reason why.

What a twill weave improves:

  • Long-term durability
  • Reduced pilling
  • Better drape across the bed
  • Natural wrinkle resistance
  • Flexibility for movement

Why We Use 300 Thread Count

Because fiber quality and weave matter more than inflated numbers

We use a 300 thread count for both our 100% Bamboo and Bamboo Cotton fabrics.

Higher thread counts often sound better, but they usually rely on thinner, weaker fibers twisted together to increase the number. This can reduce airflow and trap heat.

A 300 thread count, paired with a tight twill weave, creates the balance that matters most: softness, breathability, durability, and long-term comfort.

What 300 thread count delivers:

  • Smooth, comfortable feel
  • Better airflow and cooling
  • Stronger, more durable fabric
  • Consistent performance over time

Many sheets advertised as 800 or 1000 thread count achieve those numbers by splitting fibers into thinner strands and counting each one separately. Higher numbers don’t automatically mean better sheets, and often result in heavier, warmer fabric.

For bamboo, 300 thread count is considered high and performs better for temperature regulation and moisture control.

No Chemical Wrinkle Treatments: We don’t use formaldehyde finishes

Many wrinkle-resistant sheets are treated with formaldehyde-based finishes that stiffen fabric and reduce wrinkles.

These treatments can make sheets feel unnaturally smooth, but they introduce chemicals most people wouldn’t choose to sleep on night after night.

We don’t use those treatments.

Our fabrics soften naturally through washing and use, without relying on chemical finishes.

What this means for you:

  • No formaldehyde treatments
  • No harsh chemical finishes
  • Safer for sensitive skin
  • Fabric that relaxes naturally over time
  • Comfort without chemical coatings

All BedVoyage fabrics are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, meaning they’re tested for harmful substances and verified safe for skin contact.

Fabric Questions, Answered

Is 100% bamboo better than bamboo cotton?

Both are high-quality fabrics designed for different preferences.

100% bamboo is smoother and cooler, making it ideal for hot sleepers or sensitive skin. Bamboo cotton offers more warmth and durability, with a slightly more familiar feel.

Which fabric is cooler for hot sleepers?

100% bamboo is the cooler option. Its fiber structure allows heat to escape and moisture to evaporate more efficiently, helping regulate temperature throughout the night.

Is bamboo cotton still soft?

Yes. Bamboo cotton blends are soft and comfortable, with slightly more structure than 100% bamboo. Many customers prefer it because it combines bamboo’s breathability with cotton’s durability.

Why doesn’t BedVoyage use higher thread counts?

We use a 300 thread count because it delivers the best balance of softness, breathability, and durability. Higher thread counts often rely on thinner fibers that reduce airflow and trap heat.
