The Best Way To Make My Bed
What if you just want to order a Fitted Sheet, because you sleep the European way, with a fitted and duvet cover only? And if you just like to sandwich a Bamboo Coverlet in between 2 flat sheets, but sets don’t come that way? How about if you have 4 Full size pillows on your King bed and all sets come with King pillowcases? BedVoyage has the solution for you! We understand that some people like to make their bed the way that works for them, rather than the traditional set of fitted, flat and 2 size-appropriate pillowcases.
Why Don't People Like To Use a Flat Sheet?
Some people prefer to sleep with only a fitted sheet and a duvet cover because it offers a simpler, more minimalist bedding setup. By skipping the top sheet, they avoid the hassle of tucking and adjusting layers, which can feel restrictive or bunch up during the night. A duvet cover is easy to wash and can serve as both a comforter and a top layer, making the bed quicker to make and maintain. This streamlined approach appeals to those who value comfort, ease, and efficiency—especially in warmer climates or for those who move a lot in their sleep.
Can I Buy Just a Fitted Sheet?
To address those needs, we now offer individual fitted sheets in Queen and King in all of our colors. We had been requested for many years to sell just fitted sheets, for those that don't like a flat sheet and didn't want to spend the money. We realized there was a need and we wanted to fill it! Now, you can order right off our site, and at their convenience rather than just during our business hours, when people used to have to call us to order a Fitted alone.
Our goal is to allow you to buy ‘pieces’ and allow you to make your bed your way, with colors and items of your choosing.
Those items are found under Fitted Sheets at BedVoyage. Shop, enjoy, and make your bed the way YOU want to!
Do Asians and Europeans Use a Flat Sheet?
In many European and Asian countries, it's quite common to only sleep on a fitted sheet and duvet cover, and skip the top sheet. This practice is just more simple for their lifestyle, and hygiene. Instead of layering bedding, the duvet cover is washed regularly—much like a top sheet would be, making it a practical and efficient option. Culturally, this approach aligns with a preference for cleaner, more streamlined living spaces. Asians often have a more minimalist design tradition, so this simplicity fits right in with that style.
