“If you spend 1/3rd of your life in bed, why not sleep on the most luxurious linens that you can? And at a price that is affordable!” says Sharon Stuart, the CEO and founder of BedVoyage, an eco-luxury line of bed linens, towels and travel accessories.

For Sharon it was about creating linens for her family, friends, colleagues and people everywhere that want a luxurious place to sleep, snuggle up, kiss their children goodnight and relax in luxury and comfort.

Sharon’s story: “Years ago I visited a friend’s grandparents and stayed the night. When I was shown to my room I pulled back the bedding and to my horror, realized their big black dog had apparently been using the bed for years! I was mortified but didn’t want to embarrass them, so I took off my sock and removed as much hair as I could. I barely slept that night while the dog scratched at the door to get into ‘his bed’! From that day forward I’ve been an incredible stickler for fresh sheets, just ask anyone that knows me! Years later, while building my cabin in the mountains and thinking about how frequently I’m changing sheets for our guests, it just occurred to me that if they brought their own sheets I’d have less work. Within minutes I’d thought of a design for travel linens and knew there must be a market for them. The idea for BedVoyage was born!”

With that thought in mind, Sharon set to work on her prototype in the spring of 2008 and found the green fabric of her dreams: naturally hypo-allergenic, thermal regulating, environmentally friendly and one of the greatest fibers on the planet: bamboo! She used 100% bamboo viscose in 300 thread count, which feels as soft to the touch as 1000 thread count Pima cotton.

Sharon has created the only patent-pending luxury travel linens, so that you can rest easy no matter your accommodations. BedVoyage now offers traditional bed linens, reversible duvet covers, blankets and towels, with shams and patterns coming soon.

While countless number of sources, research studies and websites talk about the antibacterial qualities of bamboo sheets and fabrics, Sharon's focus was to improve quality of life for her family and friends with bamboo bedding sheets and accessories - the highest form of linen luxury one can imagine.
